Case Study · Staircase Renovation
Colors Wood Floor Corp renovated an existing residential staircase, completing the treads and risers in a modern light gray wood-look finish for a cleaner, more contemporary presentation. The existing white painted wood railings were already installed on site and remained in place — they are not represented as work performed by CWF.
Documentation of the staircase before our team began the new install. The previous surface had been removed, exposing the underlying treads and risers. Only observable, on-site conditions are shown — no assumptions about original construction or prior contractors.
Our team installed the new wood-look surface tread by tread, starting at the lower steps. During material selection, a physical sample of the product was placed on the completed lower steps to verify tone and appearance against the surrounding interior before continuing upward.
The finished staircase reads as a single cohesive renovation — every tread and riser presents a continuous light gray wood-look finish, with clean edges and transitions across the entire run.
An additional staircase area in the same home, finished in a warmer natural wood-look tone. Shown here as a supporting view of the overall work performed on this project.
