Stairs are the most-watched feature of a two-story home. We build custom wood and vinyl stair systems that match your new flooring seamlessly — with careful stair-nose profiles, tight risers and clean, finished edges. Most Miami-area staircase projects fall into one of two situations: replacing worn or carpeted treads on an existing structure, or extending a flooring project from the main level onto the stairs so the transition looks intentional. Either way, the details that matter are the stair-nose profile (it has to match the thickness of the new flooring exactly, or the edge looks mismatched and becomes a trip hazard), riser height consistency (uneven risers are both a code and a safety issue), and how the material handles heavy daily foot traffic — stairs wear faster than any other surface in the house. We measure every step individually rather than assuming they're uniform, which is common in older South Florida homes.
Yes — we spec stair-nose profiles and risers to match the flooring product you choose so the transitions look intentional, not patched.
Yes. Removal, cleanup, structural inspection of treads and risers, and full rebuild are part of the standard scope.
It depends on step count, materials and prep. We give you a schedule in your written estimate — no vague promises.
